Welcome
to the Pooh Corner, just a little section of the Hundred Acre Woods. Welcome
to Pooh Corner was a live-action kids' show on the Disney Channel in the 80's.
It featured actors in giant Winnie the Pooh character costumes, much like
another Disney show entitled Dumbo's Circus.
All of the stories about Pooh Corner were told by the Storyteller played by Laurie Main. He was always glad to see you. He'd start out talking about how nice something was, then he'd remember how it related to a story that happened once in Pooh Corner. Then he'd say, "I'd love to tell it to you. Would you like to hear it? Good." In this picture, you can see the little Pooh character plushies around the room. You can't make it out, but on the front of the big book he's holding it says, "Welcome to Pooh Corner." The show began with a close-up of this book.
