Well,
first off... I consider HYD to be the ultimate in shoujo. It's
got a great plot and story line with not a single
filler episode. The characters are tremendous, and they
have great character development. At first, the style
of the show turned me off a little, but now I absolutely love
it. It's very graceful. The F4 are wonderful bishounen,
but they're complicated characters, too. |

I started watching the show because I LOVED the opening theme song.
I downloaded the first 2 episodes from LunaArts,
and got hooked. I bought all the rest of it. I love the
music so much, I even bought one of the CDs. I always listen
to it when I'm online working on Hana Yori Dango fan fiction. The
classical  sounding
background music is perfect to set the mood when I'm writing.
The heroine,
Makino, is a strong willed and sophisticated person. I greatly
envy her, because I am so weak. In my mind, Makino is something
every girl wishes she was. Not only that, but she's got Doumyoji
after her and a life full of complications with love and romance.
She's not afraid to express herself, even in the face of danger.
And she gets Doumyoji, which is most important. ;) |
